Applying for visa via Consular Office of the Embassy

☐ Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a person who plans to stay for a short period of time on the purpose of visiting relatives, investing in public business, participating in a non-official sport games, attending events or meetings, performing cultural art, engaging in a training, taking lessons, attending a religious ceremony, collecting documents for academic research, or any other equivalent activities.

☐ Requirements and Documents for application (MUST BE IN ENGLISH)

➀ visa application form (form no. 17)

     the application should have bar-code at the top right corner of the first page and signed on the last page

➁ one passport photo (photo size 3.5cm x 4.5cm color photograph of face, front view on  white background, taken

     within the past six months)

➂ physical passport (6 months valid)

➃ a copy of passport

➄ a copy of permanent residence permit in Sweden or valid residence permit card (Back&Front side) 

      ※︎ Non-Swedish Passport Holders

➅ documents proving purpose of stay, Formal Invitation Letter (공식 초청장)  

➆ a copy of Certificate for Business Registration for Korean Company or Association (사업자등록증 사본)

➇ documents proving and introducing the Meeting or the Conference

➈ original copy of bank statement proving your financial ability to support yourself

     - original Copy of Bank Statement (with Bank Stamp)

         o Only Swedish bank accounts in SEK are accepted.

         o Must cover the last three (3) months

         o Must include the current balance and account holder’s information.

         o Must be issued within three (3) days of the application date

         o If submitting a parent’s bank statement, a certificate of family relationship is required.

     -  or Guarantee Note issued by sponsor or company

➉ documents proving that your are employed, Letter of Employment, Certificate of registration from your school

➈ a copy of schedule on a round-flight ticket and hotel/accommodation reservation

➉ a copy of swish receipt for your visa fee

※ The head of the Korean Embassy can request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

☐ Visa Type

Single-entry visa.

※ You should enter Korea in 3 months from the visa issuance date.

☐ Visa fee

   Visa fees vary depending on the nationality. ☞

☐ NOTE

o Visa process will take 2~3 weeks to be completed.

o Applicants are strongly advised not to book flight tickets or hotels until you have a visa.

o No Emergency visa issuance or expedited service available.
