Working Holiday Visa (H-1)   

Applying for visa via Consular Office of the Embassy

☐ Eligibility criteria for application

According to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden concerning a Working Holiday Program since 2010,

You are eligible to apply for this visa, you must

➀ be a citizen of Sweden on the purpose of travel and finding a short-term employment to financially support  yourself 

    during the stay in ROK

➁ be aged between 18 and 30(inclusive) at the time of application

➂ not be accompanied, under this visa, by any dependents at any point in time during your stay in Korea

➃ be in Sweden when you apply for this visa and when your visa is granted

➄ not have previously taken part in Korea's working holiday program

➅ have a valid a return flight ticket or evidence of financial ability to afford a return flight

➆ have appropriate health insurance for the duration of your stay in Korea.

☐ Requirements and Documents for application (MUST BE IN ENGLISH)

➀ visa application form (form no. 17)  

     the application should have bar-code at the top right corner of the first page and signed on the last page

➁ one passport photo (photo size 3.5cm x 4.5cm color photograph of face, front view on  white background, taken

     within the past six months)

➂ physical passport (6 months valid)

➃ a copy of passport

➄ round-trip ticket or original copy of bank statement (with bank stamp)  for sufficient funds to buy one  

     (at least 20,000SEK)

➅ financial documents such as a bank account balance statement which can prove tha you are capable of supporting         yourself during your stay in Korea at least 3 months  (at least 30,000SEK)

• ○Only Swedish bank accounts in SEK are accepted.

• ○Must cover the last three (3) months

• ○Must include the current balance and account holder’s information.

• ○Must be issued within three (3) days of the application date

• ○If submitting a parent’s bank statement, a certificate of family relationship is required.

➆ proof of enrollment or certificate of graduation from your final school

➇ documents proving that you have a medical insurance that guarantees your return to your country

    and medical treatment during your stay in Korea

➈ a copy of swish receipt for your visa fee

※ The head of the Korean Embassy can request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

Multiple-entry visa valid for 1 year.

Periods of stay for this visa will be granted for up to 1 year.

o Visa process will take 2~3 weeks to be completed.

o Applicants are strongly advised not to book flight tickets or hotels until you have a visa.

o No Emergency visa issuance or expedited service available.
